I have wanted to try this recipe for about a million years...give or take. I'm going to put it on my menu plan this week, I think my girls would love it. Thanks for the post and I'll let you know how it goes over!

I grew up on these only my mom made them with stewed tomatoes. Yummy!

Do you think this would work with brown rice? I don't buy white rice anymore...my mom made this with tomato soup so I'm excited to see a recipe without buying processed soup.

Definitely! In fact, I updated the recipe to say that. We don't promote the use of white rice here.

This is in the crockpot right now, can't wait to try it tonight. I found this forum, because I was specifically looking for a crockpot porcupine recipe. The only change I made is to use a clove of fresh garlic instead of garlic powder, since I didn't have any, and I have several cloves of fresh grown garlic in my kitchen.

I looked up some other porcupine meatball recipes and it should be 1/4 tsp of onion powder - not cup.
