Honey Chicken

1 lb. or 4 small skinless chicken breasts
1/4 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup diced onion
3 T. oil
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 cup water

In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly. Place the mixture in a slow cooker. Cover & cook on low for 4 hours.

If desired, serve over rice or orzo.

Cost per serving (1/4 lb.): .75 cents (serves 4)

This was so delicious. The whole family enjoyed it. I am anxious to make it again.

Making this tonight, but wondering if I can omit the oil? Thoughts?

I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil and it came out great!!

Do the chicken breasts have to be thawed first, or is there a time difference to cook them frozen?
