My husband loves this dish that his mother makes- but it's usually made on a stove top. My tweak:
1 whole chicken (cut up into pieces, remove skins before although my MIL leaves them on) 1/2 c. Low Sodium Soy Sauce (House of Tsang or Chinatown have the lowest I've found) 1/2 c. White vinegar 6 tsp. minced garlic
Put the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over. Cook on low for 8 hours. Serve over brown rice to keep it skinny (white rice to go authentic).
This is a tangy delicious dish.
